This week's obsession here is volcanoes. We've read about them, looked them up on the internet, and I swear I've answered a hundred questions just about volcanoes. In one of Alex's books it talks about making your own so it is. We started out with a dish and a bottle.
Then we added a paper mache volcano around it. When that dried Alex painted it. I think he did a great job on that part.
And finally the moment arrived and they could make their volcano erupt.

This was our one attempt at making red lava, but after Alex got it all over the place we...I...decided to stick with white.
