My first thought when I opened the oven and saw flames jumping out was to grab the camera and get a picture-my second thought was to keep my oven in one piece and just put out the fire. My grown up responsible side won. All I did was turn on the broil to crisp up the topping on the last minute of my casserole...but then I forgot... and walked away. My cornflake topping got way too crispy after that. It was my first oven fire, and hopefully my last.

I love this picture....and I'm proud of you for taking the high road and not letting your new oven burn up for the sake of a picture!!!
