A Floridian in Virginia
Did you know that you are supposed to empty and put away your garden hose before Thanksgiving? If you don't it the water freezes inside it and then you can't move it. My parents never taught me that. How was I suppose to know? In their defense, they do live in Florida where it never freezes so I guess the subject never came up.

Ha, ha, ha! Yea, these Californians had to learn that, too. We had also never heard of leaving a faucet dripping during cold weather so that your pipes don't freeze:)
I am so glad it wasn't attached to your house, or if it was, that your pipes didn't bust as well!

Your pipes can burst in the house from the hose being connected? I guess we got lucky!
