Every Sunday Alex's primary teacher starts off her lesson by asking the kids if anything exciting happened this week. She says that it helps the kids focus better on the lesson later on. Well today the first thing that came to Alex's mind was the derailment on the Metro's Red Line. We did sit in the car for a couple hours on Friday and I subjected my kids to the news radio channel, but it surprised me that he picked up on it. He told his teacher, "The Metro crashed on the Red Line and all the people fell on the tracks, and the other metros had to help them." Of all the things that happened this week, this is what impressed him the most.

Ohhh a couple of hours on Friday? Gosh I hope it wasn't all coming back from our place. :( Sorry Penny.
That is one sharp kid.
