Christmas Countdown Day 9

Shaun took a day off today and so we all traveled up to DC to see some of the train exhibits. I love what the Botanical Gardens displays every year. They have some of the neatest train set ups. Annie loved it this year too. 

Then my plans to visit the National Christmas Tree were foiled when I found out the tree ceremony wasn't until tonight so we walked over to Union Station to see their train display. It was pretty sad. Annie and Alex were wowed and amazed by it for approximately 30 seconds. What they ended up liking the best at Union Station were the revolving doors. Now that's entertainment.  Shaun took them to the boarding area and Alex was begging to get on the trains... sorry Buddy, not this time.  And to begin and end our trip was the ever popular Metro ride.  Annie and Alex wanted to stand up while the train was moving like all the other grown ups.  They both held on really tight and had the time of their life.
