Goofy Kids

Kids make you work all day long, but every once in a while they just make me laugh.

Annie: My kids found a bag of candy and were doing their best to empty it before I stopped them. Annie had a Now and Later that she unwrapped and was dutifully taking the wrapper to the garbage. She handed me the candy to hold until she got back, but half way to the garbage she turned around and said, " [with a serious look in her eyes and a finger pointed at me] Don't eat it, ok." The way she said it made me crack up.

Alex: Alex has no baby fat at all. He's barely hitting the 30 lb mark. So as no surprise he was complaining about being cold during dinner. Shaun suggested that he put his blanket up around his shoulders. When Alex doesn't want to do something he complains that he can't do it. We don't fall for it. So after trying to explain to Alex what he should do to get the blanket up around his shoulders he finally said, "Do exactly what I do, Alex."
Shaun: "Put your hands down like this and grab your blanket."
Alex: Does what Shaun shows him.
Shaun: "Lift your hands up around like this."
Alex: Does what Shaun shows him.
Shaun: Takes a bite of hot food, "makes a funny noise as he tries to talk and tell Alex what he should do next.
Alex: Makes the exact same funny noise

You probably had to be there.
